Mr. Robert Shindell has demonstrated an outstanding passion for higher education since earning his Bachelor of Education from the University of Toledo in 1995. A widely sought lecturer and consultant in the field of administrative and organizational management, Robert Shindell demonstrates particular expertise in the areas of Strategic/Mission Planning, Program Management, Client Relationship Management, Program Development, Change Management, and Public Speaking. Robert Shindell utilized his talents most recently in the role of Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services for Texas Tech University. Robert Shindell was promoted to this position after several successful years as Director of the Career Management Center (CMC) for the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech. At the time of his appointment to Associate Vice President of Enrollment Services, Texas Tech was experiencing declines in numerous areas, including new student and transfer student enrollment, academic quality of the incoming freshman class, and student diversity. Robert Shindell quickly set to work reversing these trends through the implementation of numerous innovative programs. Recognizing the limits of Texas Tech’s existing marketing efforts, Robert Shindell worked to create new communications strategies to reach high school and community college students. Additionally, Robert Shindell developed appealing new financial aid products, strengthened Texas Tech’s relationships with other educational partners, and greatly expanded the recruiting and admissions staff. The results of Robert Shindell’s efforts were a 15% increase in freshman and transfer student applications, a 10% decrease in the admission rate, and the largest freshman and transfer classes in Texas Tech history. In addition to his Bachelor’s degree, Robert Shindell holds a Master of Arts in Training and Development from Midwestern State University. Robert Shindell is also in the process of earning his PhD in Education Administration from Texas Tech University. Professionally, Robert Shindell maintains membership in several prominent higher education organizations, including the National Association of Colleges and Employers and the Pi Kappa Phi Educational Foundation.   | Robert Shindell's Links | |
